AMP Rewards Program - Terms and Conditions

1. About

These Terms and Conditions (Terms) are our agreement with you about your membership in the AMP Rewards Program (AMP Rewards). Citrus Innovations Pty Ltd ABN 25 667 285 654 (Citro, we, us, our) is part of the AMP Limited group (AMP) and administers AMP Rewards under co-branding and services agreements with AMP entities including the trustee of the AMP Super Fund. Only Citro is responsible for administering AMP Rewards to You under these Terms.
These Terms apply to your use and access of AMP Rewards through the AMP Rewards Application (App) or website including www.amprewards.com.au (Website).
By selecting agree to these Terms or by accessing or using AMP Rewards in any way, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to be bound by these Terms, you must not access and cease using AMP Rewards.

2. Definitions

Australian Consumer Law means Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth).
AMP Rewards means the AMP Rewards program administered and managed by Citro under these Terms.
Discount means the discount made available by Participating Partners on Eligible Purchases through the AMP Rewards App or Website from time to time.
Eligible Purchase means goods or services available for purchase from Participating Partners that are expressed as eligible for a Discount or Reward on the AMP Rewards App or Website, and excludes Ineligible Purchases.
AMP Super means the AMP Super Fund (ABN 78 421 957 449), a superannuation fund (within the meaning of the Superannuation Industry (Supervision) Act 1993 (Cth)) able to receive contributions via a BPAY payment (as a BPAY Biller) and of which You are a member.
Ineligible Purchase means any purchase made, including from Participating Partners, which are:
  1. goods and services which are restricted by applicable laws; or
  2. goods and services reasonably determined by us or any Participating Partner to be ineligible from time to time;
  3. betting, including lottery tickets, casino gaming chips, off-track betting, and wagers at race tracks; and
  4. political donations.
Participating Partner has the meaning given in clause 6.1 of these Terms.
Privacy Policy means the Citro privacy policy available at: https://www.amprewards.com.au/privacy-policy.
Rewards means incentive rewards offered or provided as part of AMP Rewards including cashback, points or other rewards, as described in the AMP Rewards App or Website and which is provided on Eligible Purchases less freight, delivery, taxes and GST.
You means a person who has elected to be a member of AMP Rewards or who uses AMP Rewards pursuant to these Terms.
2.1 In these Terms, unless the contrary intention appears:
  1. the singular includes the plural and vice versa; and
  2. a reference to 'include; or 'including' means 'including but not limited to'.

3. Eligibility

3.1 You are only eligible to participate in AMP Rewards if You:
  1. are an existing member of AMP Super or customer of another AMP Limited business except Citro, as displayed in the App and Website, and remain a member or customer;
  2. have an identity account registered with MyAMP;
  3. have registered as a member of AMP Rewards and have provided all information required for registration;
  4. have linked a payment card (if required);
  5. are not in breach of these Terms; and
  6. do not use AMP Rewards for fraudulent, improper, or unlawful purposes, or for purposes deemed to be unfair including any attempts to manipulate Rewards for unfair advantage.
3.2 If at any time you are no longer eligible for AMP Rewards, we may suspend or close your AMP Rewards membership.
3.3 Only certain products and services are eligible for Rewards or Discounts under AMP Rewards. Eligible products and services will be listed on the AMP Rewards App or Website.

4. Registration and activation

4.1 You are registered for AMP Rewards when you successfully register for an account on the AMP Rewards App or Website in accordance with these Terms. It is a condition of registration that you have a valid account registered with MyAMP. You agree that Citro may undertake this check and may share your registration information (including personal information) with the trustee of AMP Super and/or its administrator or service providers or other AMP Limited group entities solely for the purpose of verifying whether you remain a member of AMP Super or customer of another AMP business. Your personal information will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy (https://www.amprewards.com.au/privacy-policy).
4.2 You will receive a confirmation email within 48 hours after you successfully register for AMP Rewards. If you do not receive this confirmation email, contact AMP Rewards Support to find out why you have not been successful in registering.
4.3 You must not join or use AMP Rewards on behalf of any other individual or allow another individual to use AMP Rewards on your behalf.

5. Linking your payment card

5.1 If required in the App or on the Website, you must link at least one eligible debit or credit card to your AMP Rewards account (Linked Card). Not all cards are eligible to be linked to your account, such as gift cards, pre-paid cards, cards that have been enrolled in other rewards programs, or other store issued cards. Whether a card is eligible to be a Linked Card will be as reasonably determined by us.
5.2 Your Linked Card must be a Visa, Mastercard or Eftpos card and be issued by an Australian organisation.
5.3 In order to provide you with cashback and rewards, we need to share your Linked Card information with our third-party service providers including payment card networks such as Visa or Mastercard and our technology platform partners. By enrolling your payment card as a Linked Card, you authorise us to share this information with our third party service providers for the purpose of calculating cashback payable to you.
5.4 When you enrol your Linked Card, you authorise the payment card network to monitor your Linked Card and share with Citro transaction information about when you use your Linked Card at one of AMP Rewards' Participating Partners, so that we know when to provide you with cashback on Eligible Purchases. You agree that Citro may receive this information and may share this information with our suppliers including technology partners for the purpose of calculating and issuing cashback earned by You. You agree that we may request further reasonable details from your payment card network about tracked transactions for the purpose of determining cashback earned by You on Eligible Purchases.
5.5 Citro is not responsible for any errors you make in providing Linked Card information, including any Rewards that may not be credited to You as a result of such errors.

6. Purchase and Redemption Partners

6.1 We have partnered with various merchants to offer you certain Rewards and Discounts on products and services purchased through the AMP Rewards App or website (each a Participating Partner).
6.2 Any product or service you purchase from a Participating Partner, whether through the AMP Rewards App or website or otherwise, is governed by and subject to the Participating Partner's policies and terms, including their return, cancellation, and shipping policies (as applicable).
6.3 Any Participating Partner is not an agent of Citro and operates independently. Your participation in any Reward or Discount offered or promoted by a Participating Partner is solely between you and the Participating Partner, unless otherwise specified by us. Citro is not responsible for any withdrawal or modification of a Reward or Discount and any effect this may have on your AMP Rewards cashback balance.
6.4 Citro is not responsible for any changes to, or discontinuation of a Participating Partner. Except as provided in any law which cannot lawfully be excluded or modified by agreement, Citro assumes no liability or responsibility for any content, goods or services provided by a Participating Partner including the quality, merchantability or fitness of such content, goods or services or that such content, goods or services are lawful.
6.5 If you are eligible to receive cashback on a purchase made through a Participating Partner, you agree that we may act as your agent to collect any cashback. We are under no obligation to provide you with any cashback until such time as all cashback has been received by us in full from the Participating Partner.

7. Loyalty Framework

7.1 When using your AMP Rewards membership you may receive Discounts or Rewards on Eligible Purchases made through the AMP Rewards App or Website.
7.2 The Discounts or Rewards may change from time to time and current Discounts or Rewards will be published on the AMP Rewards App or Website. You should confirm the continued availability of the Discount or Reward before entering into the transaction for an Eligible Purchase. Any changes to the Discount or Reward will have no effect on an Eligible Purchase made prior to the date of change.
7.3 Citro does not represent or guarantee that a certain number of Discounts or Rewards will be made available.
7.4 Your ability to use or earn Discounts or Rewards may be affected by human or technical error or other events beyond Citro's control, which may include Participating Partner's systems, viruses or faults on the AMP Rewards App or Website. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Citro is not liable for any error arising as a consequence of or in connection with the processing of a Discount or Reward except to the extent caused by Citro (or its employees, agents or contractors).

8. Rewards

8.1 Earning Rewards
  1. You may earn Rewards through any Eligible Purchase as communicated and made available by us from time to time through the AMP Rewards App or Website.
  2. You are only entitled to one Reward for each Eligible Purchase. You will not earn Rewards if the Eligible Purchase is cancelled, refunded or terminated or if you breach any of your obligations in relation to the Eligible Purchase or under these Terms. Rewards may be revoked, cancelled or reversed in such circumstances and may be required to be re-paid to Citro.
  3. Ineligible Purchases are excluded from earning Rewards.
  4. Citro does not guarantee or represent any quantum of Rewards you may earn as a result of your participation in AMP Rewards, unless otherwise specified by Citro.
8.2 Crediting Rewards
  1. Citro will use its reasonable endeavours to credit your Rewards balance in your Citro wallet within 60 days after the Participating Partner receives the amount for an Eligible Purchase or such other time period specified in the AMP Rewards App or Website. It is your responsibility to check that you have been credited with the correct value of Rewards. Your Rewards will be held in a digital wallet until the Rewards are redeemed in accordance with clause 8.4 of these Terms.
  2. If you have not been credited with the Rewards in accordance with clause 8.2(a) of these Terms, you must make a claim for the crediting of Rewards within 90 days after the Participating Partner receives the amount for the Eligible Purchase. Unless otherwise specified by Citro, claims for the crediting of Rewards cannot be made if you do not meet the eligibility criteria set out in clause 3.1 of these Terms.
  3. Citro reserves the right to deny, revoke, reverse or vary the crediting of Rewards at any time if Citro or the Participating Partner determines that the Rewards were improperly obtained or erroneously credited. Any reversed amounts become immediately due and payable by You. Citro may initiate a charge to your Linked Card to recover such amounts, without any further notice.
8.3 Holding rewards
  1. You may view your Rewards balance at any time by logging into the AMP Rewards App, or Website where this feature is enabled. Your Rewards balance will be held in credit in your digital wallet until you redeem your Rewards in accordance with clause 8.4 of these Terms.
  2. Any Rewards which have not been redeemed before termination of your participation in AMP Rewards will be forfeited.
8.4 Redeeming rewards
  1. You may redeem your Rewards either to a nominated Australian bank account in the same name as your registration, or to your Linked Card, if made available by us.
  2. In order to redeem Rewards to your bank account, you must provide us with your bank account details in the AMP Rewards App or Website. The same bank details may be used across a maximum of two (2) registered AMP Rewards membership accounts.
  3. You redeem your Rewards by authorising us to pay your Rewards balance to your nominated bank account, or authorising us to initiate a credit to your Linked Card (if available). Any authorisation to redeem your Rewards in these methods is final and irreversible. You authorise us to share your information (including bank details, Linked Card details and Rewards information) with our third-party service providers to facilitate redemption of your Rewards balance.
  4. Your Rewards will be automatically redeemed once you have accumulated a Rewards balance equal to or greater than the minimum redemption amount communicated through the AMP Rewards App or Website from time to time, subject to You providing your bank account details. The method of redemption will be as selected by Citro depending on availability. You authorise us to pay your Rewards balance to your bank account or Linked Card, and You agree to take all steps necessary to ensure that Citro is so authorised. If you do not wish for your Rewards to be redeemed in this manner, you must cease accumulating a Rewards balance. Any limits or other criteria applying to redemption of Rewards may also be stipulated on the AMP Rewards App or Website.
  5. Citro is not responsible for any errors in bank details provided, and is not responsible for redemption of your Rewards balance to an incorrect bank account due to such errors. You acknowledge that Citro cannot recover any Rewards balances paid to incorrect accounts as a result of incorrect information provided by You. Citro is not responsible for any system errors in redemption of Rewards to your Linked Card, except for errors caused by Citro.
8.5 Additional requirements to redeem Rewards
  1. In order to redeem your Rewards:
    1. you must satisfy the eligibility criteria referred to in clause 3.1 of these Terms at the time of redemption.
    2. if you elect to redeem your Rewards by making payment of the Rewards balance to your nominated AMP Super Fund account, and Citro has made this feature available, your redemption request is also subject to you:
      1. selecting 'grow your super' as the Rewards redemption method through the AMP Rewards App or Website;
      2. selecting the AMP Super Fund in the AMP Rewards App or Website;
      3. entering the BPAY biller code and your customer reference number corresponding to the AMP Super Fund account you would like your Rewards to be redeemed to. AMP Super Fund details may be linked to one AMP Rewards membership account only;
      4. instructing Citro (and its service providers as applicable) to initiate a BPAY payment using the AMP Rewards App or Website to automatically pay the Rewards credited to your Rewards balance directly into the nominated AMP Super Fund account corresponding to the BPAY details you have provided;
      5. receiving confirmation of the successful completion of the above details, including your payment instruction.
  2. In order to give effect to the redemption methods set out above, you acknowledge that:
    1. Citro may require further information (including personal information) from you; and
    2. Citro may share your information (including personal information) with its service providers and third parties (such as our technology and payment providers, financial institutions and the trustee of the AMP Super Fund) as may be necessary to enable us to redeem your Rewards in accordance with your instructions.
    3. If the feature has been enabled, by selecting 'grow your super' as the Rewards redemption method through the AMP Rewards App or Website, you acknowledge that you are providing a recurring instruction to Citro or its service providers (as applicable) to automatically pay the Rewards credited to your Rewards balance directly into your nominated AMP Super Fund account using the details provided at the intervals stated in 8.4(c) above.
  3. If you elect to redeem your Rewards by making payment of the Rewards balance to your nominated AMP Super Fund account, you acknowledge that such payment will be made via BPAY and you agree that:
    1. Citro arranges BPAY payments through its service providers and your instruction to Citro to redeem Rewards to your nominated AMP Super Fund account includes authorisation for Citro to make BPAY payments on your behalf via its service providers. Instructions to redeem Rewards to your nominated AMP Super Fund account are final and cannot be stopped once processed.
    2. Citro may not be able to process a BPAY payment if any of the information set out above is not available or is inaccurate. Citro accepts no responsibility for incorrect information provided.
    3. BPAY is operated by a third party and occasionally there may be delays in processing or payments may not be available. Citro will notify you as soon as practicable if BPAY payments become permanently unavailable and return any Rewards balance to your AMP Rewards digital wallet.

9. Redeemed Rewards to super

9.1 When providing BPAY details for a nominated AMP Super account, you must provide those details corresponding to an account which accepts contributions. There are limits on how much you can contribute, and if you exceed these limits (including through any redemption of Rewards), you may pay extra tax.
9.2 We express no opinion on the use of Rewards to contribute to your nominated AMP Super Fund account. You should seek independent financial advice before deciding to opt-in to 'grow your super'.

10. Discounts

10.1 Discounts may be made available by Participating Partners on Eligible Purchases through the AMP Rewards App or Website from time to time.
10.2 The Discounts may be made available for a limited duration and may be subject to specific, terms, conditions, or exclusions. You should ensure that you are aware of and understand such term, conditions, or exclusions before proceeding with the Eligible Purchase.
10.3 If you have not received the Discount, you should consult with the Participating Partner to find out why. Except as provided in any law which cannot lawfully be excluded or modified by agreement, Citro assumes no liability or responsibility for any failure by a Participating Partner to honour the Discount the Participating Partner makes available through the AMP Rewards App or Website.
10.4 Citro does not guarantee or represent that Discounts will be made available for a certain time period.

11. Termination and suspension

11.1 Citro may terminate or suspend your participation in AMP Rewards at any time by giving you at least 30 days' notice.
11.2 Citro may terminate or suspend your participation in AMP Rewards, immediately without notice, if:
  1. you are no longer eligible to participate in AMP Rewards in accordance with these Terms;
  2. you breach the AMP Rewards Terms and such breach gives rise to a materially adverse commercial risk or regulatory or compliance risk for Citro; or
  3. your account remains inactive for greater than 12 months.
11.3 Citro may suspend your participation in AMP Rewards without notice if:
  1. we have concerns about the security of your account;
  2. we suspect that you haven't complied with these Terms;
  3. we are required to by applicable laws;
  4. to reasonably manage any risk;
  5. we suspect that your AMP Rewards account is being used for fraudulent, illegal or improper activity (including any unfair manipulation of the cashback system);
  6. we suspect that you have provided us with false or misleading information;
  7. we need to investigate any activity or transactions on your AMP Rewards account within a reasonable period.
11.4 Where possible, Citro will inform you why we have suspended or closed your account, however, in some cases, our legal obligations may prevent us from providing this information, and our failure to inform you of the reasons does not constitute a breach of these Terms. Citro is not responsible for any loss that arises where we suspend your participation in AMP Rewards.
11.5 You may cancel your participation in AMP Rewards at any time through the AMP Rewards App or Website or by contacting us and requesting closure of your membership.
11.6 If your participation in AMP Rewards is terminated or cancelled for any reason, such termination or cancellation is final and:
  1. any Rewards balance which has not been redeemed before termination or cancellation will be redeemed to your linked bank account or your nominated AMP Super Fund account, as applicable at the date of termination or cancellation;
  2. where bank account details or BPAY details for a nominated AMP Super Fund account have not been provided, any remaining Rewards balance will be forfeited;
  3. any Rewards balance funded by Citro (for example, bonus cashback or promotional or coupon cashback) will be forfeited; and
  4. Citro may transfer your membership to a Citro branded cashback membership, as reasonably determined by Citro.

12. Unauthorised or mistaken transactions

AMP Rewards works by receiving information about your purchase transactions so that we can issue you with cashback or Discounts. Citro is not responsible for and has no control over any of the underlying purchase transactions on which you earn cashback or Discounts. If you notice unauthorised, mistaken or fraudulent transactions on your Linked Card(s), you will need to contact your card issuer about any transaction dispute or reversal.
If you notice an unauthorised or mistaken transaction on your AMP Rewards App, please contact us immediately on the details set out in section 13 below. We will acknowledge receipt of your communication within 3 business days, and we will investigate and endeavour to provide you with a response within 7 business days.
As set out in these Terms, Citro is not responsible for any incorrect information provided by you. If your device through which you access the AMP Rewards App or Website has been lost, stolen or subject to unauthorised access, please notify us immediately and we can suspend your access to the AMP Rewards App or Website and help secure your account.

13. Complaints and feedback

If you have any feedback or complaints regarding AMP Rewards, please contact us by:

We will acknowledge receipt of your communication within 3 business days, and we will endeavour to provide you with a response within 14 business days.

14. How we communicate

You agree to receive communications including communications highlighting Discounts or other deals available through AMP Rewards. We may communicate with you using the contact information you have provided to Citro or when registering for AMP Rewards. You consent to receive electronic communications including any notices or other information that we may be required to provide you by law in writing unless you have withdrawn or varied your preferences via the AMP Rewards App or Website. We may also send you push notifications if you install the AMP Rewards App.

15. Liability

15.1 You agree that we are not liable for any loss, damage or liability in connection with:
  1. the unauthorised use of your Rewards or Discounts;
  2. any goods and/or services purchased from third parties by you;
  3. any merchant or product descriptions contained on our website or contained in communications sent to you by us or on our behalf, where these are provided to us by a Participating Partner;
  4. any failure of or delay in a Participating Partner failing to provide us with any information or perform any act upon which we depend;
  5. any failure or default beyond our reasonable control;
  6. any failure of or delay in an AMP Super Fund acknowledging, accepting or otherwise honouring the monetary value of your Rewards balance when redeemed by you to your AMP Super Fund;
except to the extent that the loss, damage or liability is the result of our fraud, negligence or wilful misconduct (including that of our employees and agents).
15.2 You have the benefit of certain protections as a consumer under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in this document shall be taken to exclude liability which may not be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. However, to the extent permitted under the Australian Consumer Law and except as otherwise specified in these Terms, in relation to any loss you have suffered:
  1. our liability is limited to the cost of providing the relevant services again; and
  2. we have no liability for any indirect, special or consequential loss (including loss of profits, actual or anticipated revenue).

16. Privacy

16.1 You agree that we may collect, hold, use and disclose your personal information as described in these Terms and any other privacy notices that we provide you.
16.2 We collect personal information that you provide to us or generate when you register for the AMP Rewards. This personal information is used for:
  1. any specific purposes for which you provide it to us;
  2. the general operation of Citro Cashback, so that you can access and use the functions and services of AMP Rewards;
  3. to help our partners to fulfil their regulatory obligations; and
  4. other purposes as otherwise notified to you, including in our Privacy Policy, a copy of which is available below.
16.3 Our Privacy Policy (available at: https://www.amprewards.com.au/privacy-policy) describes how Citro collects, holds, uses and disclose personal information in the course of its business operations as a whole. It also explains how you can seek to access or correct any personal information Citro holds about you, how to complain about a privacy breach and how Citro will deal with a privacy complaint.

17. Updates to these Terms

We may change these Terms at any time by uploading new Terms to the AMP Rewards App and the Website and notifying you. If you keep using AMP Rewards after the changes have been posted, you agree to be bound by the amended Terms.
Where a change decreases or materially affects your rights under these Terms, you will have 30 days from the date the changes are posted to decide if you agree to the amended Terms. If you do not agree with the changes you may terminate your membership by notifying us, otherwise you will be taken to have accepted the updated Terms.

18. Permitted use of AMP Rewards

When participating in AMP Rewards (in this clause 18, the Services), you agree that you will not (i) use the Services or any component for any improper or unlawful conduct; (ii) use the Services or any component for any commercial purposes or analysis; (iii) reverse engineer or decompile any of the Services or components made available to you; (iv) use the Services or its components other than for the purpose of obtaining the benefit of the Services; or (v) allow any third party to engage in any of the conduct mentioned in this section in respect of the Services.

19. Intellectual property

Except where necessary for viewing content on the App or Website, or as permitted under the Copyright Act 1968 (Cth) or other applicable laws or these Terms, no documents, images, information or media of any kind displayed in the App or on the Website may be reproduced, adapted, uploaded to a third party, linked to, framed, performed in public, distributed, stored, published, displayed or transmitted in any form by any process and you may not create derivative works from any part of the App or Website or commercialise any information obtained from any part of the App or Website without our specific written consent or, in the case of third party material, from the owner of the copyright in that material.
As between You and Us, we own all intellectual property displayed on the App or Website. Use of any other intellectual property displayed on the App or Website, including all trademarks and logos, is strictly prohibited without our prior written consent.

20. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that state.
Whatever wealthy you want
AMP Rewards and this website are administered by Citrus Innovations Pty Ltd ABN 25 667 285 654 (Citro), a member of the AMP Limited group of companies (AMP). Citro operates AMP Rewards and this website independently of other AMP group companies, including N.M. Superannuation Proprietary Limited. Information on the AMP Rewards app or this website is provided by Citro only. You may receive communications from other AMP group companies promoting AMP Rewards.
The AMP Rewards app and website contain general information only. No content is intended to be a recommendation or statement influencing your decisions in relation to financial products, and your personal financial circumstances have not been taken into account. You should consider independently whether to join and use features of AMP Rewards, including seeking financial or taxation advice if choosing to redeem cashback to your superannuation fund where this feature is available.
Citro Acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of lands, waters and communities throughout Australia.
